Just wanted to point something out to people who wonder why fanfic writers stop writing certain stories. Lack of feedback is a HUGE reason for that in my case. It’s incredibly hard to want to finish something no one seems to care about.
And yes I know no one is obligated to comment on stories. I’ve read the threads, the posts on tumblr, I know. But it’s not even that I want praise. I love knowing people like what I put out. I love talking about my silly little universes. I just really love to share.
When sharing becomes less fun? You don’t want to do it. That’s it, plain and simple.
Also another thing that’s now suddenly RAMPANT in the very few comments I do get? Unsolicited criticism. I don’t want to know you dislike my story. I really, really don’t. And if you send me shit like that? I’m blocking you from reading my stuff. Plain and simple.
Or I’ll make the whole story read only when logged in so I can block you later if you’re leaving comments as a guest. I’m not playing anymore.

people love to ignore that adhd is a spectrum with different levels of support needs and it effects every person differently.
some people with adhd can adapt to neurotypical society better than others, can function without meds or don’t need them every day. some adhders are able to have successful careers and some aren’t and they can’t even finish their education.
most people’s preconceived notions of adhd are almost entirely based on low support needs adhders so please remember about people with adhd who have higher support needs - our experiences are also important.
Am I considering writing a Spacedogs heat story and actually writing EVERY SINGLE DAY of the heat instead of saying they passed out and just woke up when it was over?
